Maddie is a friendly and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist dedicated to helping children thrive. She graduated with honours from the University of Newcastle in 2015 and has since expanded her expertise to focus on working with children and their families.
As a mum of young twins, Maddie finds joy in sharing practical and effective strategies for navigating the adventures of raising little ones. She brings her personal experiences to the table, offering valuable insights and tips that can help other parents and caregivers navigate the daily challenges and celebrate the little victories of parenting. Drawing from her own experiences, she provides valuable tips and insights to help other parents and caregivers understand and celebrate their child’s needs on a deeper level.

- Confidence with communication: Maddie is passionate about supporting children of all abilities in developing their ability to communicate in a way that is important to them, building on strengths and the capacity of those around them to interact in a way that is supportive. Maddie brings experience and passion working with children to build their communicative ‘toolbox’ and providing support to find best fit Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) solutions to assist a child in being able to express themselves freely in a range of ways.
- Key worker approach: As a keyworker, Maddie can act as your child’s central point of contact to create and ensure a collaborative approach with your child’s entire support network, assist with navigating the NDIS and embed strategies into everyday routines across natural environments.
- Mealtimes: Maddie is an SOS Feeding trained therapist. She brings experience working with families to create safe and enjoyable mealtimes throughout their day and across natural environments. Maddie offers strategies to assist parents and caregivers to develop their child’s ability to manage food safely and works as a team to widen the variety of foods their child is eating. Maddie is passionate about creating mealtimes that are enjoyable for all families! Let’s make food fun!!
- Hanen Trained Therapist: Maddie is a certified practicing Hanen therapist in the delivery of the ‘More than Words’ program. More than words is an evidence based and naturalistic approach that makes the most of your child’s unique interests, strengths and preferences, as well as their everyday routines and interactions.Your child is supported to expand their social communication skills in the natural context of the things, people and topics that matter to them the most, making the learning meaningful, ongoing and fun!
- Clinical Mentorship: Passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists and creating a community of like minded people working towards to same goal, a career that lights them up and makes an impact in the lives of children and families they work with. Maddie is an experienced mentor and provides a mentee led and person centred approach to her mentoring service.
