Kerryn is a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a passion for fostering children’s development. She graduated with distinction from Deakin University in 2019 and has since focused her expertise on the paediatric field Kerryn has continued to build her understanding of the disability landscape with her Graduate certificate in Disability in which she focused on best practice in early intervention and policy development. Kerryn utilises a playful and engaging approach to empower children of all abilities to reach their full potential. Kerryn’s areas of practice include:
- Play-Based Therapy: Kerryn understands the profound impact of play on a child’s development. She integrates fun and interactive activities to address challenges and cultivate essential skills such as coordination, communication, and social interaction.: Kerryn is a Learn to Play trained therapist that takes a neuro affirming approach to the skills learnt within the training.
- Mealtime support: Does your child experience difficulties with eating or mealtimes? Kerryn can provide a comprehensive assessment and develop personalised strategies to promote positive and successful eating experiences. Kerryn is an SOS trained therapist and takes a holistic and responsive approach to mealtime goals.
- Functional Participation: Kerryn is committed to helping children achieve independence in everyday activities. She addresses challenges with self-care routines, dressing, and gross and fine motor skills, fostering increased confidence and participation.
- Key worker approach: As a keyworker, Kerryn can act as your child’s central point of contact to create and ensure a collaborative approach with your child’s entire support network, assist with navigating the NDIS and embed strategies into everyday routines across natural environments.
- Consulting: Kerryn has worked nationally both in person, via videoconferencing and project consulting to improve the clinical outcomes of multidisciplinary teams and streamline their procedures and practices. Kerryn has spent time working with Universities supporting them to deliver and improve relationships, procedures, programs and outcomes for clients and outreach programs.
